(attach supplement sheets as necessary.) T TIN1TM Ally; The electrical circuit boxes are located on telephone poles outdoors at . Hillview and Lambert Parks.. Both electrical boxes hold circuit breakers that service the outdoor rink lights and the indoor park building lights and heaters. The boxes hold enough power to electrocute a person should the electrical boxes be vandalized or misused. For safety reasons, the electrical boxes need to be brought inside the park buildings so that the electrical circuit breakers can be secured and so that the box can be locked inside the park buildings for added security. Other repairs and electrical additions need to be made at Lambert Park to re-route conduit that is located on the outside of the building and change the electrical lines from the far .park pole. In addition, the electrical , power and box for the pitching machine at Hillview Park will be improved for safety. Lots of little details such as putting new electrical boxes and mounts in the buildings, new wiring, trenching, (going under concrete pads) , etc. are included in this project. Bacon Electric has been working on the project with Steve Dazenski. The updated cost is $5, 955 . It is requested that contingency funds be transferred to the Parks Maintenance and Repair Program to provide for the immediate repair of the electrical systems at Lambert and Hillview Parks to provide a more secure electrical system. Mary Saario , I ' red • Parks, Recreation and Forestry RECOMMENDATION: To approve the transfer of $5,955 in contingency funds to Parks Maintenance and Repair Program (100-4360-160- 000 for the provision of a more secure placement of the electrical circuit boxes inside the buildings at both Lambert and Hillview Parks and to perform repairs to the circuit breaker electrical boxes.
