. :7.nil"
REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 1.
STAFF REPORT
AGENDA SESSION DATE Report Number: 94-1256WS
"M August 1, 1994 Report Date: 7-26-94
DISPOSITION
Item Description: Discussion Regarding Drainage Problems on Pinewood Court
Administrator's Review/Recommendation:
- No comments to supplement this report ' ,t ''
- Comments attached.
Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.)
i TMNIARY;
Staff has spoken with Mr. Gerner of 2103 Pinewood Drive about the
' problem he has been experiencing with the storm sewer and open ditch
that abuts his property. It seems that when the County Road I project
was in construction, it was noted that the storm sewer between Pinewood
Drive and County I and the holding pond south of County I was
deteriorating. Staff spoke with Ramsey County officials about this
situation and their recall was that some engineering was requested to
determine if relining the existing 15" corrugated steel pipe with pvc of
smaller diameter. At this time files and memories are being researched
at SEH to recover this information. This method of correcting the
problem was initiated and a 10" pvc pipe was inserted into all the
concerned storm sewer pipe. At the time of this writing no documentation
was received to support this method of correcting this deteriorating
pipe. Staff will continue to keep Council and Mr. Gerner informed as
more information is made available.
Mi e Ulrich, Public Works Director
RECOMMENDATION;
