1995 PROGRAM/PERFORMANCE BUDGET <br /> • <br /> DEPARTMENT Parks, Recreation & Forestry PROGRAM Practice Range Operations <br /> FUNDING SOURCE Golf Course Enterprise Fund <br /> Customers will be interested in using the practice range for lessons <br /> PROGRAM PURPOSE and golf practice. The practice range serves to provide a quick <br /> activity for those who don't have time to play the course, ie. lunch <br /> times, evenings, early morning to and from work. The practice <br /> range is the ideal place to hold lessons. In addition, it is the practice range that the majority of the <br /> profits will be made. <br /> The profit margin on the practice range is expected to be <br /> PROGRAM SUMMARY significant - higher than either the course or clubhouse operations. <br /> At peak times the practice range will be filled to capacity including <br /> lunchtimes, early mornings and evenings and weekends. Other <br /> times will be "off' times and it is these times that lessons will be scheduled - and other activities to keep <br /> the range as filled to capacity as possible. <br /> The ojective of the Practice Range operation is to keep <br /> 1,995 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES activity to a maximum in order to make maximum profits. <br /> Efficient and effective scheduling management of this <br /> facility will provide for good profits. <br /> 1. Bucket sales that match the estimated <br /> 1995`PROGRAM PERFORMANCE MEASURES prediction of EGSC. <br /> 2. Good marketing of the range will produce <br /> users even during the "off' times. <br /> 3. A good number of golf classes will fill "off' times and will also make new customers for the other <br /> golf course operations. A measure will be the "off' times in an average day. The fewer off times the <br /> better. <br />
