ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Program Function <br />In 1994, the City hired a full time Economic Development Coordinator to initiate an <br />expanded economic re/development program. The economic development activities will <br />strive to stimulate business growth and diversification, and expand funding mechanisms <br />to support and sustain quality job opportunities for Mounds View residents. <br />5 Year Goals <br />1995: <br />• Secure and coordinate state and/or federal funding for Phase I of the rehabilitation of <br />Mounds View's substandard single and multi -family housing stock. <br />• Review recommendations of the highway 10 task force and gain EDA approval to initiate <br />a redevelopment plan. <br />• Evaluate and implement recommendation from the 1994 Community Partners Program. <br />• Implement development proposals to attract and retain quality businesses with the <br />guidance and approval of the EDA. <br />• Coordinate and complete the development of the Silver Lake Point Housing Project <br />• Coordinate and complete the development of Multi -Tech and C.G. Hill in Mounds View <br />20 <br />
