Capital Expenditures Capital expenditures scheduled for this Program will consist of adding 10 new streetlights each year for 3 years in accordance with the proactive streetlight installation plan. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Program Function In 1994, the City hired a full time Economic Development Coordinator to initiate an expanded economic re/development program. The economic development activities will strive to stimulate business growth and diversification, and expand funding mechanisms to support and sustain quality job opportunities for Mounds View residents. 5 Year Goals 1995: • Secure and coordinate state and/or federal funding for Phase I of the rehabilitation of Mounds View's substandard single and multi -family housing stock. • Review recommendations of the highway 10 task force and gain EDA approval to initiate a redevelopment plan. • Evaluate and implement recommendation from the 1994 Community Partners Program. • Implement development proposals to attract and retain quality businesses with the guidance and approval of the EDA. • Coordinate and complete the development of the Silver Lake Point Housing Project • Coordinate and complete the development of Multi -Tech and C.G. Hill in Mounds View 20
