• USDA Approved Facility - 7/13 - They have elected to locate in another state. <br /> • Mfg of Auto Equip. - 8/17 - They are still looking and leasing current space <br /> month to month. <br /> • 40,000 - 150,000 s.f. mfg facility - 7/13 - They purchased a large parcel of <br /> land in Washington County. This company was looking to move out of State so <br /> at least they decided to stay in Minnesota. <br /> • Audio, Video Company - Decided to locate in another part of Minnesota. <br /> • 20,000 s.f. biotech facility - This was a lead from NSP. The company worked <br /> out a deal with the Port Authority to expand in their current location. <br /> Cathy <br /> ( PARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY <br /> Mary Saarion is on vacation this week spending time with her kids until school <br /> starts on Thursday, September 1 . She was in the office on Thursday and Friday. <br /> RECREATION <br /> This is the week for preparing flyers to go out to children the first week of school. <br /> Registrations for Fall activities are steadily coming in. Once school starts, <br /> however, they will be pouring in! <br /> Mary took the Seniors to the Fair on the Lion's Bus on September 1 for Senior Day. <br /> He enjoys the Fair and I don't, so it works out great. <br /> We just did an upgrade on our registration system. A yearly upgrade is included in <br /> our service contract with Aceware Systems. This current upgrade adds a few new <br /> features allowing us to access information in a variety of ways. <br /> Soccer registrations have doubled from 1993. Do you think maybe the World Cup <br /> had something to do with that? We have so many teams this year, that we can <br /> run the program entirely in Mounds View so kids and parents won't have to be <br /> traveling to other cities! <br /> Jerry and I escorted a group of 35 people (moms, dads, kids, couples) to the Saints <br /> Game on Tuesday, August 31 . Jerry did a great job cooking the hot <br /> dogs...everybody got full. The rain held off, but boy was it cold!
