Marketing Task Force <br /> Goal: <br /> oo Prepare a comprehensive marketing plan for the City of Mounds.View which will outline <br /> oo <br /> procedure for marketing the benefits of the City to businesses and generate image <br /> enhancement for the general public. This marketing plan will be presented to the <br /> Economic Development Authority for review in the first quarter of 1995 with <br /> implementation to begin in 1995. <br /> Duration of Task Force: <br /> oo Three to four month process to include at least one meeting per month with additional <br /> oo <br /> meetings arranged at the discretion of the task force members. <br /> Elements to Consider for inclusion in Marketing Plan: <br /> x Evaluate the feasibility of entrance and exit signs designating Mounds View's boundaries. <br /> This pertains especially along highway 10 corridor. <br /> x Develop communication strategies for the City of Mounds View. These strategies should <br /> focus on improving the dissemination of information on activities at City Hall, good news <br /> throughout the City and announcements pertaining to City events, public meetings, <br /> changes in meetings, etc. <br /> oo Develop a new identity for Mounds View to include logo enhancement, catchy tagline, <br /> oo <br /> and city events which will set Mounds View apart from other Cities of similar size. <br /> Example: Marketfest has put White Bear Lake on the map throughout the entire state. <br /> �X <br /> Review Mounds View's current publications and recommend new publications using same <br /> motif developed for Mounds View's new image. <br /> oo Review the development of a Mounds View Business Newsletter. Include ideas for <br /> oo <br /> format, potential contents, frequency of publication and business ownership. <br /> X Review the development of specific marketing campaigns. <br /> 00 "Buy Mounds View First" Campaign - to encourage residents and businesses to buy <br /> within the community <br /> og "Spread the Good News" Campaign - to encourage residents and businesses to <br /> spread good news regarding special activities throughout Mounds View such as <br /> outstanding students, awards, innovative business products, etc. <br /> ;g "Mounds View Two-Words" Campaign - to educate residents, businesses and the <br /> entire metro area regarding the correct spelling of Mounds View. <br />
