RESOLUTION NO. 4635 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FORM OF THE CITY PORTION <br /> OF THE NOVEMBER 8, 1994 GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been requested by the Charter Commission <br /> to place on the November 8, 1994 General Election Ballot the <br /> following question: <br /> Shall the Mounds View City Charter be amended to add the following <br /> provision? <br /> Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no <br /> person may file to be a candidate for election to a term that <br /> would cause the person to serve more than eight total years <br /> in the office of Mayor or eight total years in the office of <br /> City Council. <br /> ;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City touncil, under Minnesota Statutes, Section <br /> 410. 12 , Subdivision 4, has the authority to "fix the form of the <br /> ballot" . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council in and for <br /> the City of Mounds View does hereby fix the November 8, 1994 <br /> General Election Ballot to be in the form as designated herein as <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Council does hereby <br /> direct the Clerk Administrator to notify all required County <br /> officials of the City of Mounds View's intent to include on the <br /> ballot the language outlined in Exhibit A. <br /> Adopted this 12th day of September, 1994 . <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL) : <br /> Clerk-Administrator <br />
