STAFF REPORT
PAGE TWO
SEPTEMBER 12, 1994
fairways and rough areas. This unit has a mounted cab for the
practice range (protection from flying golfbalis) . This unit is
used but is totally reconditioned. The cost is $10, 000. Kurt
recommends the purchase of this unit because of the flexibility
of dual uses and time saving measures for mowing and ball pick-up
with the added use as a back-up mower.
Because this used unit is unique, it is one of a kind and has a
price which is reflective of a used and outdated piece of parks
mowing machinery that happens to be perfect for our ball picking
needs at the practice range with the added benenfit of mowing
capacities. This tractor/mower is much bigger than a traditional
ballpicker with more capabilities.
It is Golf Course Superintendent Kurt Johnson's recommendation
that the following units be approved for purchase for the
operation of the golf course: Toro Top Dresser for $5, 760, Toro
2000 2 wheel drive Sand Bunker Rake with plowbiade for $5,805,
and used Parkmaster Mower/Practice Range Ball Picker for $10, 000
for a total of $21,565 to be funded by the Golf Course Fund, 698-
4121-703 .
