The Mounds View Municipal Code allows <br /> garages up to 1264 square feet with the issuance of a Conditional Use <br /> Permit. As submitted, Mr. Neumann's request met all requirements of the <br /> Municipal Code for issuance of the Permit, however, the Code stipulates <br /> that in the event a garage exceeds 1000 square feet (which the applicants' <br /> would have with the proposed addition) no other accessory buildings would <br /> be allowed on the property (Chapter 1106. 04 Subdivision 6 c) . The property <br /> also contained an 8'x 8' accessory building. <br /> [ ' <br /> Mr. Nuemann was informed that in order to meet the intent of the Code, the <br /> existing accessory building would need to be removed in the event the <br /> Conditional Use Permit was granted. Following discussion at the Planning <br /> Commission, Mr. Nuemann decided to remove the existing 8'x 8' structure and <br /> increase the size of the addition to his garage. Based on these <br /> discussions, the Planning Commission approved Resolution No. 400-94 <br /> recommending approval of an addition -..to Mr. Nuemann's garage which would <br /> bring the total square footage of the structure to no more than 1264 square <br /> feet. <br /> All materials received as part of this application have been included for <br /> your review. Staff has prepared the attached City Council Resolution for <br /> consideration.
