306.03 306.05 <br /> b. Employees will be given opportunity to select vacation periods insofar • <br /> as it is practical. Selection of vacation time shall be based on seniority. <br /> (1988 Code §6.23) <br /> Subd. 2. Consecutive Vacation Days: If the employee is entitled to two (2) <br /> weeks vacation, he must take one week consecutively, if an employee is <br /> entitled to three (3) or four (4) weeks, he must take two (2) weeks <br /> consecutively. (1988 Code §6.25) <br /> Subd. 3. Advance Payment: If an employee desires vacation pay in advance of <br /> vacation, he must give the Finance Director/Treasurer at least three (3) <br /> weeks notice, in writing, of each request. He would then receive his <br /> 1111 <br /> normal check to the regular pay period which occurs during his vacation. <br /> (1988 Code §6.22) <br /> 306.04: CARRY-OVER AND WAIVER OF VACATION LEAVE: An <br /> employee shall be permitted to carry over no more than ten (10) <br /> days vacation time plus the amount accrued during the previous year from one <br /> year to the next, except with Council approval. (1988 Code §6.24) <br /> 306.05: LEGAL HOLIDAYS: <br /> Subd. 1. Legal Holidays Designated: <br /> a. The following shall be legal holidays for all regular full-time i <br /> employees and regular part-time employees on a pro rata basis subject to <br /> this Title: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday (third Monday <br /> in January), President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence <br /> Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after <br /> Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. <br /> b. If Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day or Veteran's <br /> Day falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered a <br /> holiday. If Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Independence Day or <br /> Veteran's Day falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be <br /> considered a holiday. <br /> c.
