MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: DON BRAGER, FINANCE DIRECTOR <br /> FROM: PAUL HARRINGTON, CITY PLANNER <br /> DATE: December 14, 1994 <br /> SUBJECT: FUND ROLLOVERS - 1994 TO 1995 <br /> Please include the following in the resolution allowing the <br /> rollover of 1994 funds to 1995. <br /> $2000 from account 100-4180-703 <br /> These monies were budgeted for the purchase of CAD/GIS upgrades <br /> ($1000) and Building Inspection software ($1000) . <br /> * The CAD/GIS vendor we deal with has informed us that in early <br /> 1995, a two step jump from CAD 11 to CAD 13 will be available. The <br /> cost will be slightly higher than what we have budgeted for 1995 <br /> ($1000) , however, with the rollover, we will be able to purchase <br /> the two step upgrade for less than what one step upgrades would <br /> cost together. <br /> * Regarding the Building Inspection software, Staff has found that <br /> the Planning Associate, Building Inspector and Secretary are often <br /> times working on projects which require the sharing of information. <br /> Because of this, Staff would like to further explore software <br /> packages which incorporate both Building and Code Enforcement <br /> information in one system. <br />
