The Economic Development Coordinator will be responsible for <br /> coordinating activities of the Citizen/Business Marketing Task Force including the <br /> development and implementation of improved communication and marketing materials, <br /> promotional campaigns and image enhancement tools. In addition, the City and their <br /> activities will be proactively marketed through the submission of press releases, <br /> community recognition awards and group presentations. <br /> PROGRAM OBJECTIVE <br /> • Continually communicate with Mounds View businesses through the Business <br /> Association and Business Beat Newsletter. <br /> • Coordinate the publication of Marketing and Communication materials. <br /> • Monitor the Mounds View Marketing Program to include Buy Mounds View First <br /> Campaign, Good News Campaign, Welcome Banners, Monument Sign, Upgraded <br /> Entrance Sign and New Resident Welcoming Program. <br /> • Coordinate Fundraising activities to raise money for the marketing activities. <br /> • Evaluate the effectiveness of the Mounds View Marketing Program. <br /> • Develop programs to highlight successful projects as a direct result of Mounds <br /> View's Housing Rehabilitation Efforts. <br /> . Submit press releases and coordinate press opportunities regarding the activities <br /> in Mounds View and distribute throughout the Region. <br /> BUDGET IMPACT <br /> Personnel: <br /> 1997 <br /> F-T Administrative Aide $3,000 <br /> (10% of Personnel Costs) <br /> It is anticipated that the marketing activities will increase over the next year with the <br /> implementation of an aggressive marketing program for the City of Mounds View <br /> generating the need for a part time administrative aide to focus on these activities. It <br /> is estimated that approximately 10% of the F-T Administrative Aide would be <br /> dedicated to these activities. <br /> 16 <br />
