UNAPPROVED <br /> Mounds View City Council Page 8 <br /> Regular Meeting June 26, 1995 <br /> 1 Paul Harrington, Community Development Coordinator, reported that <br /> 2 Patrick Carlson of North Star Land Services, representing U.S. West <br /> 3 Communications, has made application for a Conditional Use Permit <br /> 4 (CUP) to allow the construction of an enclosure to house fiber fed <br /> 5 telecommunication services and serve somewhat as a "field office" <br /> 6 for technicians tracking service related problems in the area. The <br /> 7 enclosure would be approximately 6'x 9' with an overall height of <br /> 8 about six feet since three feet is located below ground. They <br /> 9 propose to locate the structure in the extreme northwest corner o <br /> 10 the Multi-Tech property fronting on County Road H2, and U.S. West <br /> 11 is-iii Lhe—rocess6f obtaining a 20'x 20' easement from Murfi-Tech. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Mr. Harrington advised the Municipal Code requires any structure <br /> 14 necessary for the provision of public utility service to obtain a <br /> 15 CUP prior to its construction. Mr. Brager introduced Charles Clysdale, <br /> 44 Maguire Agency, Inc. , and advised he would inform the Council <br /> 45 of two options which would result in further reducing <br /> 46 premiums. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Charles Clysdale, Maguire Agency, Inc. , reported that based on <br /> 49 the City's excellence workers compensation history, the rate <br /> 50 was reduced from .75 to .72 .
