Last week I spoke by phone with each of the property owners.
Set forth below is a summary of their responses.
Bob and Marjorie Kroonblawd (2280): I spoke with Mrs. Kroonblawd. She
was very friendly and indicated that she and her husband would be willing to
consider the sale of their property, but that they are not ready to suggest an
asking price at this time. They want to think about an asking price and will
discuss it with me sometime later in November, as Mr. Kroonblawd is
scheduled for hip surgery early in November. If they move they want to move
to another house with a yard - although retired, they are not ready for senior
housing yet.
James and Louise Paron. (2288): I spoke with James Paron and he basically
responded that because his wife did not want to leave the property, they were
not yet prepared to consider selling and that he would call me if and when they
were interested.
James and Donna Paron, (2300): I spoke with Jim Paron (son of James Paron
at 2288) and he indicated that he and his wife would consider selling if they
could replace their house with one of the new 3-level townhomes on the
Majestic Oaks golf course with an additional $50,000 cash. He was being
somewhat facetious, but was basically indicating that he has a very high sales
price expectation. He would not quote me a dollar amount. When I asked Jim
about his parents' intentions (I had not spoken to them yet) he said he had been
encouraging them to move near Messiah Lutheran Church in the Sunnyside
School area, where they are very active members, but that they had not yet
expressed an interest in that idea.
