He assumed the day to day operational and second in command <br /> duties formally held by Mike Ulrich prior to his promotion to Public Works <br /> Director. At that time, it was discussed that his position would be re- <br /> evaluated at the end of 1995 and consideration given to a position <br /> designation as Public Works Foreman. <br /> For the past year, Tim has performed the second in command duties with more <br /> than satisfactory results. He is organized, available, knowledgeable and <br /> is able to supervise the multi-functions of the public works department in <br /> Mike Ulrich's absence. It is recommended that Tim Pittman's position of <br /> Public Works leadperson be properly classified to Public Works Foreman. The <br /> recommended 5 Step Plan is: <br /> STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 STEP 5 <br /> $34,080 $36,210 $38,340 $40,470 $42,600 <br /> Tim's current salary is $35,574 (base wage and paid required beeper time) . <br /> It is recommended that he begin at Step 2, effective January 1, 1996 and <br /> progress to Step 3 after 6 months and to Step 4 after one year (one year <br /> after the six month increase) and finally to Step 5 after another year. <br /> This reclassification is budgeted in the 1996 Budget. <br /> - Yr,47-AIC 4---dCe <br /> Sa 'antha rduno, City Administrator <br /> RECOMMENDATION• <br />
