This plan met with <br /> Council approval and must be accepted by resolution. The plan will then be <br /> sent to the Metropolitan Council for their acceptance. A copy of the <br /> earlier staff report accompany' s this report for Council' s review. <br /> The city was mandated by the Department of Natural Resources to prepare and <br /> adopt a Water Emergency and Conservation Plan. SEH had been contracted to <br /> prepare this plan earlier this year. Staff received the plan in late <br /> September, reviewed it, made additions and corrections and returned the <br /> plan to SEH for final revisions . <br /> The plan includes such items as, well information, demographics, pumping <br /> capacities and history. Also included are recommendations for water <br /> conservation measures and emergency plans . This plan must be submitted to <br /> the Metropolitan Council and the surrounding cities for their approval by <br /> January 1, 1996 . <br /> The plan, in final draft form, accompany' s this report for your review. <br /> Also included is Resolution No. 4827 for Council' s consideration. <br /> Should Council have any questions or concerns regarding this document, <br /> please feel free to call me. <br /> l � <br /> Michael Ulrich, Director of Public Works <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br /> Waive the reading and adopt Resolution No. 4827, adopting the Water <br /> Emergency and Conservation Plan. <br />
