RESOLUTION NO. 4704 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MAXX PRO BOXING EVENT AT THE BEL-RAE BALLROOM ON JANUARY 18, 1995 WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 1992, 341.08, requires the consent of the governing body of any municipality before the Boxing Commission issues any license to conduct boxing or sparring exhibitions in the municipality; and WHEREAS, Maxx Pro Boxing has requested consent of the City Council to conduct amateur boxing matches on January_t8,1995; and WHEREAS, the Council has approved similar boxing matches which were conducted in the past; and WHEREAS, said boxing matches were conducted without significant problems. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View that Maxx Pro Boxing is hereby authorized to conduct boxing matches at the Bel-Rae Ballroom, 5394 Edgewood Drive, on January 18, 1995 contingent upon the following conditions: 1) Certified copy of the State License for said matches to be filed with City Administrator. 2) Two uniformed, sworn police officers, approved by the Mounds View Police Chief, shall be in attendance. Said officers to be reimbursed by the promoter. 3) All beer, set-ups and other refreshments shall be dispensed in paper cups. 4) Premises shall be closed by 12:00 Midnight. 5) Promoter shall provide City Administrator with a Certificate of Insurance from the promoter's liability insurance carrier, providing for coverages of $1 million for bodily injury and $100,000 for property damage. 6) The Mounds View Police Chief is authorized to stop any boxing show or take appropriate action to discontinue an unlawful or undesirable activity associated with any boxing show conducted within the City of Mounds View.
