Program <br /> 17 <br /> 18 MOTION/SECOND: Blanchard/Wuori to Adopt Resolution No. 4694 <br /> 19 Commending Bob Nelson for His Years of Service to the D.A.R.E. <br /> 20 Program <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Linke read a fax sent by Cindy Crosier on behalf of the Mounds <br /> 23 View School District which expressed their gratitude to Nelson <br /> 24 for his contributions to the Pinewood Elementary School <br /> 25 community. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 VOTE : 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Linke presented the Resolution to Officer Bob Nelson. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 c. Mayor Linke called Councilmember Diane Wuori to come before <br /> 32 the Council and presented her with a plaque of appreciation on <br /> 33 behalf of the people of Mounds View, the City Councilmembers, <br /> 34 and Mayor Linke, together with the Mounds View City Staff. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Mary Saarion, Parks & Recreation Commission Staff Member, <br /> 37 presented to Councilmember Wuori a symbolic tree of tribute to <br /> 38 be planted in the spring in the park of Wuori ' s choice. <br /> 39 Saarion stated that Wuori ' s work in the parks will long be <br /> 40 remembered. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Commissioner Gary Stevenson read a plaque presented by the <br /> 43 Parks & Recreation Commission and Staff which reiterated the <br /> 44 words from the award presented earlier to Wuori, "You Are <br /> 45 Quite Simply The Best. " <br /> 46 <br /> 47 Wuori expressed her appreciation for the awards, commenting <br /> 48 that the tree of tribute was very special to her. <br /> 49 <br />
