The request presented to District <br /> 2 621 is for the cost to be shared equally between the City and <br /> 3 the School District, each share amounting to $7, 000. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Councilmember Trude expressed concern that the School District <br /> 6 would deny the request to share the expense because that had <br /> 7 been the custom historically. She asked what would be the <br /> 8 strongest manner to ask for their help. Trude addressed any <br /> 9 School Board Members that may be watching this Meeting to put <br /> 10 some of their City and School District tax dollars into the <br /> 11 flashing lights to improve the safety of the children coming <br /> 12 and going to school. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Wuori stressed the importance of these warning lights because <br /> 15 of the high speed traffic coming off the freeway. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 MOTION/SECOND: Wuori/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4689 <br /> 18 Requesting Independent School District 621's Financial <br /> 19 Participation in the Construction of Flashing Speed Zone <br /> 20 Reduction Lights on County Road I <br /> 21 <br /> 22 VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 23 <br /> 24 E. Consideration of Resolution No. 4691 Supporting the <br /> 25 Reappointment of Samantha Orduno to the Pipeline Safety <br /> 26 Advisory Council <br /> 27 <br /> 28 Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that this <br /> 29 Resolution was requested by the Pipeline Safety Advisory <br /> 30 Council to be submitted with the application for <br /> 31 reappointment.
