Use- <br /> Permit <br /> sPermit Request <br /> Motion/Second: Nelson/Miller to approve of Colonial <br /> Resolution No. 410-95 as amended, Village <br /> recommending approval of a conditional Manufactured <br /> use permit to allow display and sale of Home Park, 2075 <br /> model homes at Colonial Village Rustad Lane, <br /> Manufactured Home Park. Planning Case <br /> No. 391-94 <br /> The Planning Commission deliberated on <br /> the question of how many model homes <br /> could be available for sale at any one <br /> time. It was questioned as to whether <br /> or not the park should be restricted on <br /> the number of new or used homes <br /> displayed for sale. Planning Associate <br /> Pruitt informed the Commission that she <br /> spoke with the City Attorney who advised <br /> her that a model home is defined as new <br /> or used. <br /> Mr. Liggett explained to the Planning <br /> Commission that State law requires that <br /> the seller of a manufactured home <br /> provide the buyer with a statement, <br /> known as a safety disclosure, verifying <br /> that the home is up to Code. Mr. <br /> Liggett also expressed that it is to the <br /> City's advantage to grant this request <br /> because it would upgrade the park. He <br /> further expressed that the primary goal <br /> of management is to keep the park full. <br /> Further discussion again ensued by the <br /> Planning Commission on the number of <br /> homes that would be allowed to be <br /> available for sale at any one time. The <br /> Planning Commission concurred that the <br /> number of homes offered for sale shall <br /> not exceed six percent of the licensed <br /> lots in the park.
