ITEM 7.A <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4715 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION TO STEVE GERINGER, MOUNDS <br /> VIEW PATROL OFFICER, FOR HIS EFFORTS AT DWI ENFORCEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Steve Geringer began employment as a patrol officer with the <br /> Mounds View Police Department on March 1, 1989; and <br /> WHEREAS, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) presents certificates of <br /> commendation to the officers from each department in Ramsey and Washington <br /> Counties that issue the most DWI citations for each year in their individual <br /> departments; and <br /> WHEREAS, MADD is a volunteer organization that helps to prevent deaths and <br /> injuries caused by alcohol related crashes through education and helps victims of <br /> alcohol related crimes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Patrol Officer Gehringer has received certificates of commendation <br /> in 1992 and 1993 from MADD for issuing the highest number of DWI citations in the <br /> Mounds View Police Department. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View hereby commends Patrol Officer Geringer for his outstanding service to <br /> the community and his help in the MADD organization's efforts to stop drunk driving. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of February, 1995. <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> Sue Hankner, Councilmember Phyllis Blanchard, Councilmember <br /> Gary Quick, Councilmember Julie Trude, Councilmember <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br />
