The North Metro Mayors Association, a collaborative organization of cities in the northern region of the Metro area, was organized with the mission of interfacing with all levels of government to present and promote the interests of the north Metro area cities. Rationale Membership in this organization has been discussed in past years, but not approved. However, at a recent Council Work Session, the Council discussed the Legislature's current policy direction and the Legislative actions which, if enacted, could have dramatic impacts on the City, both negative and positive. It is the goal of the City to support and promote, through cooperative initiatives, actions taken by the Legislature or other governmental entities are in the best interest of the City. Participating in the North Metro Mayors Association is consistent with that goal. Cost The 1995 membership costs for North Metro Mayors is $5, 018.
