* Staff has been assisting the Forestry crew in the trimming of Silver View <br /> Park. Trees have been trimmed and the Parks crew has been chipping the <br /> branches and laying the chips in the trailways near the upland area of the <br /> horseshoe courts and disc golf course. <br /> RECREATION: <br /> * The Spring Recreation Brochures have been received in the homes of <br /> residents. Registrations have begun. Also, the office is accepting <br /> registrations for the Mounds View Athletic Association. <br /> * Prices are being researched for various materials and equipment including <br /> youth athletic equipment, field grooming equipment, t-shirts, softballs, field <br /> lining chalk, field paint, etc. <br /> * Staff is preparing youth and adult summer athletic materials including <br /> manuals, information brochures, registration packets, and training materials. <br /> Mass production of information is underway! <br /> GOLF COURSE: <br /> * Planning for leagues and lessons has been a priority for this week. With <br /> Brus, the golf instructor/manager on-board we are able to quickly get this <br /> information formulated and can begin to prepare information and written <br /> materials for registrations. <br /> * An update of the golf course has been prepared for Council presentation at <br /> the March 6 Work Session. <br /> * In addition, a Golf Course Task Force meeting has been scheduled to discuss <br /> the Grand Opening for the golf course. In addition, the Golf Course Task <br /> Force will receive an update on Golf Course activities and meet Brus Von <br /> Ende. <br /> CABLE TV: <br /> * Larry Decheine has been working with Jerry Skelly to produce a sewer main <br /> video for Council review. There are many, many tapes of footage requiring a <br /> lot of editing. The program should be a good indication of the problems that <br /> have been plaguing some of the sewers in the City. <br /> FORESTRY: <br /> * Rick and his crew have been spending the week at Silver View Park trimming <br /> the woods.
