• I met with Carl Bennettson of the R.L. Youngdahl Agency to learn the <br /> benefits of having the Agency as the City's insurance agent. I saw no <br /> compelling reason to change insurance agents. All of the services that the <br /> Youngdahl Agency offers are also offered by the Charles Clysdale of the <br /> Maguire Agency, our present insurance agent. <br /> • Kitty Hickok has been on vacation this week, however, she was in to do <br /> payroll and also attended a meeting on the Freenet project. <br /> • Finance staff continues to prepare for the annual audit by preparing <br /> schedules and gathering information for the auditors. The auditors are <br /> expected to be in fieldwork on March 13. <br /> Don <br /> PUBLIC WORKS <br /> • Tim Pittman and Tom Baumgart completed the wiring on the Sergeant's <br /> squad this week. More lights were added to this car, which increased the <br /> safety factor and brought it up to the level of the other squad cars. <br /> * Gary contacted SEH to begin the Pavement Management Program. Weather <br /> permitting (a lot of snow or extreme cold), Staff will begin pavement ratings <br /> Monday, March 6. <br /> • Mike's and Tracy's offices (and the lunchroom) are back to normal! It's <br /> amazing what a little paint, carpeting and new furniture can do. Hope you <br /> all can stop down and see the "new look". <br /> • We are updating the software on our Gopher State One-Call program. <br /> Whenever there is any excavating, the contractor must call and notify <br /> Gopher State who intern informs the proper utility companies and city(s) <br /> where the digging is going to take place. The affected utilities and city(s) <br /> then go out (Bill Hanggi is our locator) and locate the underground utilities or <br /> water/sewer lines. The cost for this service is .25 cents for each locate <br /> notification. Hopefully the updated software will make operations go even <br /> more smoother! <br /> Mike <br />
