Adoption of the <br /> Ordinance would be effective 30 days from publication in the officially <br /> designated City newspaper (late April) . <br /> Since the introduction of this Ordinance at the February 27 meeting, Code <br /> Enforcement Officer Joyce Pruitt has requested that a provision be added <br /> allowing her to enter onto property in order to enforce the provisions of <br /> the Code as a whole. Staff consulted with the City Attorney on this issue I <br /> and it was his recommendation to include verbiage to allow for the type of <br /> "on-site" inspections Joyce was suggesting. The added language can be <br /> found in paragraph two of section 607. 08 ENFORCEMENT, and begins with "The <br /> City Administrator or . . . " . I <br /> For the benefit of the general public, Staff will be making a brief oral <br /> presentation on Monday evening regarding the purpose and intent of the <br /> Ordinance.
