City Participation Program:
• Jennifer and I met with two mortgage companies this week regarding support
for administering the first time home buyer loans through the Minnesota Cities
Participation Program. We met with CTX Mortgage in New Brighton and FSB
Mortgage in Minneapolis. The City must choose lenders that are qualified to
administer the program under MHFA guidelines. We have added a twist to the
application because we are proposing the addition of rehabilitation of the
homes. The program is specifically for first time home buyer purchase. This
makes administration of the loans more difficult. If we are awarded the funds
from MHFA, both mortgage companies are willing to work with the City to
make the program work. The application was due on June 8. Award of funds
should_be-in-J ly-with-the--program implementation in late July-through--
—
October.
Cathy
PERSONNEL
Recycling Intern. An advertisement for the cable TV/technician
programmer has been placed in Sunday's publication of the Star Tribune to replace
Jerry's position.
TUG MEETING
Samantha and I attended a TUG meeting Thursday morning.
