Report Number: 95-1375WS 6-1-95 Report Date: DISPOSITION Item Description: Approval to Advertise for Cable TV Technician to Replace Jerry Skelly Administrator's Review/Recommendation: - No comments to supplement this report - Comments attached. Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets :: necessary.) SUMMARY; Jerry Skelly, Jr. Cable TV Technician for the City of Mounds View has accepted a full time position with the St. Paul School District. His new job will be production of promotional pieces for the School District and also production of informational videos spotlighting programs of the District. It is a great opportunity for Jerry. Staff is very happy for him. Jerry's last day working for the City of Mounds View is June 19. While he begins his new position June 12, he has indicated that he plans to continue to work on a few projects that need conclusion. Staff requests Council's approval to advertise for the position. The position advertisement will be for a 1/2 time Cable TV Technician at an hourly wage of $10.00 plus 1/2 benefits. The brother team of Don and Dale Irving will be able to continue to assist in televising the City Council meetings. Jerry Skelly has indicated that until a replacement can be found he may be able to cover the Council meetings. Needless to say, speedy replacement of Jerry's position is desirable to ensure uninterrupted Cable TV cablecasting of City Council Meetings and other regular Cable TV programming that has been established throughout the past years.
