THIS IS IT....
For the Week of May 29, 1995 - June 2, 1995
ADMINISTRATION
I thank all of you who have inquired about the condition of my
son, Tony. I spent the Memorial Day weekend with him in Denver.
He is still undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and is sick a
great deal of the time, but his spirits are better than they were
several weeks ago. He still has many tumors yet to be removed,
but the doctor feels that the chemo will impede the spread of the
malignancy.
The ad for the Administrative Intern was placed in the Sunday
papers and the reaction has been very positive. It appears that
there are a number of very qualified individuals who would like
to work for Mounds View. I have included the ad in this issue of
This Is It.
Work Session Agenda
The June Work Session agenda is a lengthy one, but I have
followed the same format as the May Work Session, estimating
times and adding a column for disposition of items through
Council consensus which supports staff recommendations.
Estimating the time helps us inform people the approximate time
their item will be discussed by the Council. Those agenda items
that the Council agree can be dispensed with at the beginning of
the meeting can be checked off in the column to the left of the
item title. This action appeared to work well at the May Work
Session and if the Council likes this method of dispensing with
agenda items, we will maintain it in the future. If you have any
suggestions for additional improvements to the agenda, please let
me know.
