PUBLIC WORKS
* Staff has been sealing cracks throughout the City, starting last week and
continuing through the remainder of this week. We would like to thank the
Parks Dept. for lending us a hand during this project.
* Bill Hanson and a representative from Waterpro have concluded the water
meter testing. Final analysis is being prepared and will be presented to Council
at the June work session.
* Wally and Larry have been and will continue to clean the City's sanitary sewer
system. They have prevented numerous backups, through this year's
preventative maintenance. After the entire system is cleaned, underground
inspection of the mains will take place. A software package was purchased to
track their findings, and rank the conditions of the system.
* Staff is meeting with Ramsey County to finalize the Long Lake Road Project
this week.
* Seasonal employees are beginning to arrive. Their presences is always a
welcome site.
Mike
COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT
YEARLY RENTAL PROPERTY INSPECTIONS
Jennifer has begun work on the yearly rental property inspections that the City
conducts. With the availability of a full time inspector, it is anticipated that all
properties in the City will be inspected at least once during any given four year
cycle period. The inspections are conducted to ensure safety of common areas
(hallways, stairways, laundry facilities, etc.).
