* Mike is attending an AWWA Conference in Anaheim, CA. He will be back in <br />the office Friday afternoon. <br />* The Streets Department is into their 2nd week of patching. The weather, as <br />you know, has-been smoldering. So if you happen to see them out there or <br />any of the other maintenance crews, cherry popsicles taste pretty <br />good <br />* And of course with the higher temperatures, we have been in contact with <br />NSP everyday, regarding peak control. If there is a peak control demand, we <br />must shut off all power to the wells. If not, a substantial fine will be <br />imposed. <br />* This past weekend, the power was out (3) times on Saturday! This meant <br />that all of the wells were down. Tim Fredberg and Bill Hanson were able to <br />keep the water flowing by putting the wells on alternate power generators. <br />* A watering ban was put into effect, June 19. We will observe the past <br />requirements; complete ban noon-4pm, and the odd/even process. An article <br />was put in the New Brighton Bulletin and information put on the City Sign. <br />Tracy <br />COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />NETWORK FILE SERVER <br />Over the past weekend, City hall experienced a power outage which necessitated <br />the file server going to battery backup. The configuration of the file server allows <br />for battery backup for a maximum of 20 minutes, at which time the server shuts <br />down. The 20 minute "grace period" allows for Staff to shut the server down <br />manually. Because the power outage occurred during the weekend, no Staff <br />member was available to manually shut down the server. Consequently, when the <br />
