a list of items that MVAA should discuss at the May Board Meeting - outlining <br /> the requirements that the Ground Lease Agreement requires of the MVAA ie. <br /> designated contact person, etc. Steve Dazenski met with Ernie Lepore <br /> regarding the location of the building. <br /> CABLE TV <br /> * Jerry has been busy completing the DARE video. <br /> GOLF COURSE <br /> * Bridgco has been contacted for a cost of installing hand railing to the <br /> boardwalk as suggested by Berkley Risk Services, Inc. It was their <br /> recommendation that the City comply with ADA regulations requiring a 42" <br /> handrail. This ads a cost of approximately $8,000 to the boardwalk. However, <br /> to stay in compliance with safety and ADA regulations it is important that we <br /> install this railing. The railing will be completed the first part of June, at which <br /> time the boardwalk will also be leveled as originally intended. <br /> * The warmer weather has been good for the newly seeded grass. This year's <br /> Spring weather has set us back approximately 3 weeks. We had such a great <br /> Fall, 1994 growing season, but this Spring weather could have been better - <br /> warm weather is preferable. <br /> * Advertisements continue to be placed in various newspapers and publications. <br /> The Clubhouse is receiving many calls for tee times. The Practice Range <br /> attendance is relative to the weather, busy in good weather, not busy on cold <br /> and rainy days. <br /> * Hennepin County Parks staff is visiting the golf course, interested in the <br /> specifications for the maintenance building and clubhouse - finding both <br /> buildings to be excellent especially in relationship to the costs. They want to <br /> "borrow" some ideas for their two new buildings that they are adding at <br /> Hennepin County Regional Parks system. This is quite a compliment since <br /> Hennepin County Regional Parks system is renowned for excellence in parks <br /> facilities. <br /> Mary S. <br />
