THIS IS <br /> IT . . . . <br /> For the Week of April 24, 1995 - April 28, 1995 <br /> ADMINISTRATION <br /> * CONGRATULATIONS TO DAVE AND COLLEEN ANDERSON on the birth of <br /> their son, Trent David. Trent was born on Thursday, April <br /> 20 at 11: 30 weighing in at 8 lbs. 6 oz. <br /> * The Community Connections Committee met on Wednesday evening <br /> and the group is progressing by examining the needs and <br /> wants of the County, School District and City in regards to <br /> the proposed joint facility. <br /> * Councilmember Trude attended the public hearing of the <br /> Environmental Assessment of the Air Traffic Control Tower. <br /> * Mary Saarion and I have met with the Newton's to discuss <br /> possible acquisition of the land adjacent Groveland Park. <br /> Samantha <br /> AMM INNOVATIVE CITY AWARD APPLICATION <br /> An application for the annual Association of Metropolitan <br /> Municipalities Innovative City Award will be submitted Friday <br /> 4/21/95. The winning project is to encompass several aspects <br /> that include answering a need of the community, enhancing <br /> resident participation, heightening community awareness and it is <br /> to be a collaborative effort. One idea that seems to fit these <br /> criteria is the Intergovernmental Information Interchange project <br /> the City is undertaking with the Cities of Plymouth and Maple <br /> Grove and the non-profit organization Freenet. The award winners <br /> will be announced May 31. <br />
