RESOLUTION NO. 4750 <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING MAY 3, 1995 AS "ARBOR DAY' AND <br /> THE MONTH OF MAY AS "ARBOR MONTH" <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has been recognized for thirteen <br /> consecutive years as Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its <br /> efforts in urban forestry; and <br /> WHEREAS, trees in Mounds View reduce cooling and heating costs, clean the <br /> air, produce oxygen, and provide habitat for wildlife; and <br /> WHEREAS, school children of Mounds View will be planting trees in Greenfield. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the month of May is hereby <br /> proclaimed as "Arbor Month" and citizens are called upon to assist in the planting of <br /> trees now for the use and enjoyment of present and future generation. <br /> Adopted this 24th day of April, 1995. <br /> (SEAL) <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor <br /> A LEST: <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br />
