1995 Compensation
Tim C. , Kitty and I have been busy this week getting the 1994
compensation adjustments ready for Council consideration. It is
our goal to have information ready Monday night for the
discussion on 1995 compensation. A decision on the 1995
compensation amounts or the finalization of the Police and Public
Works Contracts is not anticipated until April 10. The discussion
Monday night and possibly on April 3 will give the Council time
to consider all alternatives that staff will present to you this
coming Monday night.
Separating 1994 compensation from 1995 compensation will make
Kitty and Tim C. 's life manageable as they try to complete all
the-necessary-forms for a special payroll as well as prepare for
the regular payroll.
Community Connections Committee (The Triple C's)
This is the new name given the representatives of the City,
County and School District who will be studying the issue of
additional educational space in Mounds View.
At the first meeting last night, everyone had the opportunity to
share with the group the "dream" they had for
educational/community services. The major themes that resulted
from the discussion were services, opportunities and space where
early education and family involvement could be centered in one
place, close to existing educational programs and those
educational programs could be restructured to resemble more
closely a "family" setting rather than the departmentalized
approach to learning currently practiced.
The next meeting of the Community Connections Committee will be
at 5: 30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19. The Committee has also set
dates for May 10 and 24 . The next meeting will concentrate on
enrollment projections, demographic information (school and
City) , financial considerations for capital projects, both
District and City, and discussion regarding service duplication.
Samantha
FIVE YEAR GOAL PLAN
Sharie has been working diligently on preparing the 5 Year Goal
Plan for publication. It is scheduled to go to the printer on
Friday and delivered the weekend of April 1 and 2 .
INSURANCE PROVIDER
On Wednesday, March 22, the PEIP representative presented the
details of their insurance plan to the Public Works Department.
Although there are some areas to be worked out, the general
reception of the plan has been quite good.
