The Public
Works bargaining unit agreed in early 1994 to abide by the award given to Police.
Because of the pending arbitration, non-union employees did not receive a
compensation increase at the beginning of this year. The recent award affords the City
several options in regards to non-union and union compensation increases.
Attached please find two charts which will aid your discussions about 1995
compensation:
1. 1994 and 1995 annual percentage increases for
Stanton 6 cities and some surrounding cities.
2. 1994 and 1995 top police patrol salaries for
Stanton 6 cities.
Notation:
A few cities have not settled for 1995. These settlements could raise the average
as some have a tradition of higher annual increases (North St. Paul - 4%for 1993)
Assuming a 3% increase for 1995 in each of the NS cities would raise the
averages to the amounts indicated in parenthesis below the existing averages.
6 PRINTED WITH t/17
SOYINK 2401 Highway 10 • Mounds View, MN 55112-1499
recycled paper
