arf
OF REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 10
STAFF REPORT Report Number: 95-1288WS
OEW AGENDA SESSION DATE Apri 1 3. 1995 Report Date: 3_29-95
DISPOSITION
Item Description: Discussion Regarding 1995 Compensation — Position Reclassifications
Administrator's Review/Recommendation:
- No comments to supplement this report
- Comments attached.
Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.)
,SI3IMMARY;
At the special Work Session held on Monday, March 27, staff presented
several 1995 compensation options for non-union and union personnel.
Council determined that union compensation shall remain consistent with the
Arbitration Award. It was also determined that non-union compensation could
not be resolved without additional information.
Attached please find print outs prepared by Tim Cruikshank which outline
the 1994 salaries (at the step paid at year end, i.e. , if someone is slated
for a step increase mid-year, that step increase is factored into the
salary) and the expected salary at the following percentage increases:
2 .5%, 2 . 95%, 3% and 3 . 5%. If the Council desires a starting point lower
than 2 .5%, we will have the computer at the meeting and Tim can quickly
calculate(:
alculate( the totals while the discussion is taking place.
Samantha Ord no, City Administrator
RECOMMENDATION;
