Many
of these have been completed, some deleted and a few that are still in construction. The following
is a summary of the bond projects.
Projects Budget Cost Actual Cost (A/O 2-28-94)
Long Lake Road (Highway 10 Crossing) $69,000.00 $56,646.00
Bronson Drive - Water Main $51,750.00 $30,097.00
Hillview Drive - Oakwood Drive Loop $41,900.00 Project Deleted
City Hall Sewer Service $17,250.00 Completed Inhouse
Treatment Plant #1 $1,414,000.00 $1,409,228.00
Treatment Plant #2 & #3 $500,000.00 $168,967.00 ($58,000.00
balance due)
Generator at Booster Station $80,000.00 $99,308.00
Well #4 Rehab $161,000.00 Project Deleted
Well #4 Transmission Line $143,750.00 Project Deleted
Tower Demo & New Tower $345,000.00 $738,128.00
There are a few minor projects that Staff has identified that should be completed and are identified
as system improvements.
Mentioned at an earlier work session was to change the operating program of Water Treatment Plant
#1. This program change would allow any Well (1, 2 or 3) to produce water without the current
restriction of Well #1 or #2 operating in the lead position. The other program change will allow a
well to run continuously should the system require water. These changes will add flexibility and
insurance to the system as well as increased efficiency in pump operation. Currently, the controls will
shut down the well to backwash a filter and then start it back up again, as many as 3 times per day.
Starting and stopping of the well motor should be done as little as possible. Estimated expenditure
for this program change is '$1,500.00.
t
Mic ael Ulrich, Public Works Supervisor
