REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: 6. <br /> STAFF REPORT Report Number: 94-4:-O-9-.ws - <br /> AGENDA SESSION DATE March 7, 1994 Report Date: _ 3-3=94 <br /> DISPOSITION <br /> Item Description: <br /> Pleasantview Drive Update <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Design plans are very near completion for the reconstruction of Pleasantview Drive, between County <br /> Road H-2 and County Road I. Staff has received the plans and will be in contact with a few residents <br /> on the South end where a few driveways may require additional slope adjustments. (This will require <br /> extended grading beyond the right of way.) After consulting with these residents, a public information <br /> meeting may be required prior to a public hearing, to propose an assessment for curb and gutter. Staff <br /> is meeting with the City of Fridley, which will be the contracting agent, on March 2 and Ramsey <br /> County on March 7 to discuss the project and responsibilities of all parties. The City of Mounds View <br /> is initially requesting that Ramsey County construct Pleasantview Drive to City standards at their <br /> expense, prior to the City accepting future responsibilities of that roadway. Right now, Ramsey <br /> County's proposal is to upgrade the road to the 90th percentile on their pavement management <br /> program, which correlates to approximately $52,000.00 of a project estimated to cost slightly more <br /> than $200,000.00. (Of that amount, the City of Fridley's cost is approximately $100,000.00.)
