Request for approval of engineering services of SEH for an ISTEA <br /> proposal for funding a pedestrian bridge across Hwy. 10. <br /> Staff is pursuing a grant through ISTEA funding for the <br /> installation of a pedestrian bridge across HWY 10 to be submitted <br /> by the April 1 deadline. Preliminary engineering drawings, plans <br /> and cost estimates must accompany the proposal. Attached is a <br /> proposal for services provided by SEH. Staff requests the City <br /> Council to approve this expenditure for plans. Even if the grant <br /> is not approved, the plans can be used for future grant <br /> applications. Administrator Orduno has indicated that monies <br /> from the Franchise Fee for special projects could be used for <br /> these initial pedestrian bridge engineering drawing which are <br /> required for the grant. <br /> Staff requests the City Council to approve the expenditure of <br /> $1,900 for engineering services from SEH for information <br /> regarding a pedestrian bridge across HWY 10 to be used in an <br /> ISTEA grant proposal, funding from the Franchise Fees for special <br /> projects, # a�� <br />
