The casino trip last Saturday was a successful fund raiser for the Mounds <br /> View Community Theater. Special thanks to Sharie for organizing the <br /> event and to the Board of Directors for promoting the event. <br /> Adult Softball registrations opened this past Monday. There is a three tier <br /> registration system honoring resident teams first, then past teams and <br /> finally new teams. <br /> Mary is preparing Youth athletic packets of information. A new Parent's <br /> Guide to youth athletic programs has been prepared and printed and will <br /> be distributed to the parents-of youth registrants beginning March 19. <br /> Lots of Spring registrations have been received. During that first week <br /> that the brochures were out in the homes, we registered over $800 worth <br /> of credit card registrations! So, we know that the people have heard <br /> about the service and it is popular. <br /> We have received many applications for summer playground positions. <br /> All but two leaders from last year will be returning leaving big competition <br /> for those two spots. <br /> Staff is opening the bids for the Golf Course construction Thursday <br /> morning, March 10 at 10:00 a.m. Further information will be offered later. <br /> The bids will be referenced and calls will be made from previous projects. <br /> The City Council will be asked to award the bid recommendation on <br /> March 28, 1994. <br /> FORESTRY <br /> Tree orders are being received with the deadline being next Wednesday, <br /> March 15. The tree information is in the City Newsletter. If you wish to <br /> order do so ASAP.- Don't wait until after the deadline. <br /> Jerry is working on a CABLE TV <br /> video for the <br /> Appreciation Evening <br /> Event. <br />
