Item No: 08B <br />Meeting Date: January 25, 2010 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />Administrator Review : ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant City Clerk - Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resoltuion 7569, Authorizing Vacation Severance for Public <br />Service Officer (PSO) Tyler Martin. <br /> <br /> <br />Introduction: <br /> <br />Tyler Martin, Public Service Officer (PSO), resigned effective January 4, 2010. Mr. Martin has <br />taken a new position as a police officer with the City of Newport. The PSO is a part-time union <br />position. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />In accordance to Article XXII of the AFSCME Union Contract, union employees shall contribute <br />accrued vacation time towards the Retirement Health Savings Plan (RHSP) upon separation <br />from employment. <br /> <br />Resolution 7569 provides for a payout of Tyler Martin’s vacation time into his Retirement Health <br />Savings Plan. In accordance with the AFSCME Union Contract, Mr. Tyler is authorized a <br />vacation time payout totaling $230.38 into his Retirement Health Savings Plan.
