<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7579 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FIVE 800 MHZ RADIOS IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />FEDERAL URBAN AREA SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) GRANT FUNDS AWARDED <br />TO RAMSEY COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Federal Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funds were awarded <br />to Ramsey County Emergency Management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey County Emergency Management determined a need within <br />cities for the acquisition of 800 MHz radios; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View Public works does not currently have 800 MHz radios to <br />communicate with emergency responders; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, purchasing five portable 800 MHz radios and accessories at a cost of <br />$6737.30 will enable the city public works personnel the ability to communicate with police, <br />fire and emergency units; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County will reimburse the City of Mounds View for the full <br />purchase amount of $6737.30. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota does authorize the purchase of five portable 800 MHz <br />radios with chargers, speaker microphones and batteries. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of February 2010. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Jim Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
