RESOLUTION NO. 7586 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A Resolution Authorizing the Hire of Don Peterson to the Position of <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the Public Works <br />Supervisor position was advertised; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, over fifty (50) applications were received for the position and fifteen (15) <br />were chosen for interview; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Don Peterson’s skills and experience were determined to most <br />closely match the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Public Works Supervisor job <br />description; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Peterson’s criminal background and reference checks are complete <br />and satisfactory. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />appoints Mr. Donald Peterson to the position of Public Works Supervisor with employment <br />to commence on March 29, 2010. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the City Council approves the salary scale for the <br />Public Works Supervisor position as indicated herein, with a starting salary for Mr. <br />Peterson at Step 1 of the City’s pay plan at $25.56/hour, with an increase to Step 2 of the <br />salary range ($27.16/hour) after six months of employment, Step 3 after one year of <br />employment, Step 4 after two years of employment, and Step 5 after 3 years of <br />employment, subject to City Council authorization. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 8th day of March, 2010. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br /> <br />
