RESOLUTION 7596 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE SALE OF USED PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT <br />AND PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has evaluated the need of continuing <br />ownership of used equipment and items including two prefabricated pedestrian bridges and <br />a v-plow implement for a skid steer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City advertised the sale of the bridges and v-plow on the League of <br />Minnesota Cities website for over 7 days; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City received the following bids: <br /> <br />• $7,000 from Metropolitan Council Environmental Services for one bridge; <br />• $7,800 from Town of Hassan, Minnesota for one bridge; and <br />• $800 from City of Ham Lake for the v-plow implement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department recommends awarding the sale of the two <br />pedestrian bridges and v-plow implement to the above said parties. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City hereby accepts the bid from Metropolitan Council Environmental <br />Services for $7,000 to buy one used prefabricated pedestrian bridge. <br />2. The City hereby accepts the bid from the Town of Hassan, Minnesota for $7,800 <br />to buy one used prefabricated pedestrian bridge. <br />3. The City hereby accepts the bid from the City of Ham Lake for $800 to buy one <br />used Bobcat v-plow implement. <br />4. “As-is” purchase agreements will be prepared by City Staff for the above sales <br />and the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for <br />and on behalf of the City, to execute the purchase agreements. <br />Adopted this 22nd day of March, 2010. <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> James Ericson, Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL)
