PUBLIC INPUT 28 <br /> 29 <br />Karey Love, 7900 Sunnyside Road, requested the City Council reconsider allowing residents to 30 <br />have chickens in the City limits. This would allow the residents to grow and eat some of their 31 <br />food locally.. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson stated the original Ordinance was passed over 10 years ago as the 34 <br />City was becoming a more urban area. The City has not had any requests to date for for the 35 <br />keeping of chickens. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Flaherty suggested this issue be discussed further at a work session meeting. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Dave Connelly, 2832 Woodcrest Drive, expressed concern about the upcoming street 40 <br />improvement project. He presented the Council with a summary of the issues at his property 41 <br />stating he had lived there since 1972. Mr. Connelly questioned if the City would be allowing his 42 <br />double driveway to be grandfathered into the project or if he would need a variance to keep his 43 <br />existing driveway.
