<br />Item No:8C <br />Meeting Date: August 23, 2010 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />Administrator Review : ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Thomas Kinney, Deputy Police Chief <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 7665, Renewal of Training Contract with Century <br />College <br /> <br /> Background: <br /> <br /> Century College has provided police training courses to the Mounds View Police <br />Department and numerous other police agencies in Minnesota and Wisconsin, since <br />1994. Century College provides nearly all POST required training, along with many <br />other law enforcement related courses. <br /> <br /> Discussion: <br /> <br /> Agencies wishing to participate in this training option can select the number of training <br />slots they would like to have available to their agency for any given course offering. <br />Most courses are offered more than once during the year, so it is not necessary to <br />purchase a slot for every officer on the department.
