For local regular elections and referendums, campaign signs may be posted from forty-six <br />days before the local general election or referendum until ten (10) days following the election <br />or referendum. <br /> <br />d. For local special elections and referendums, campaign signs may be posted from the date of <br />filing until ten (10) days following the special election or referendum. <br /> <br /> c. Campaign signs may be displayed from the last day of candidacy filing or thirty (30) days <br />before an election, whichever is earlier. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01) <br /> <br /> e. d. All campaign signs must be removed no later than ten (10) five (5) days after an election; <br />except, that after a primary election, signs for the winning primary candidates need not be <br />removed until after the ensuing general election. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1000, <br />Chapter 1008 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to “Signs” by deleting the stricken <br />language and adding the underlined text as follows: <br /> <br />1008.12: PROHIBITED SIGNS: The following signs and sign types are prohibited in the City <br />of Mounds View: (Ord. 679, 5-29-01) <br /> <br />Subd. 1. Flashing signs. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01; Ord. 816, 1-22-9) <br /> <br />Subd. 2. Signs, or lights attached to signs, which mimic or have an appearance similar to those on an <br />emergency vehicle or a traffic control light. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01) <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Roof signs, unless integrally incorporated into the roof design, then such sign shall be <br />considered a wall sign. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01; Ord. 769, 5-8-06) <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Temporary or permanent signs posted within public right-of-ways, excluding directional signs <br />and signs expressly allowed herein and by other governmental agencies. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01; <br />Ord. 769, 5-8-06) <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Vehicles Used as Signs: Vehicles or trailers that display advertising and are parked in such a <br />way as to attract public attention shall be prohibited, except for signs on vehicles or trailers <br />which are magnetic, decals or permanently painted upon the surface of the vehicle without <br />obscuring any vehicle window area. Such sign shall not alter the profile or silhouette of the <br />vehicle. (Ord. 679, 5-29-01) <br /> <br />Subd. 6. Nuisance Signs: Any sign considered a nuisance as defined herein shall be prohibited. The <br />property owner of the land upon which the sign is located or the owner of the sign shall act to <br />remove the sign or bring the sign into compliance upon notification of the City Inspector.
