<br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7687 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE -YEAR LABOR CONTRACT FOR THE YEAR <br />2010 WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT LABOR SERVICES, INC. (LELS) LOCAL NO. 204, <br />REPRESENTING PATROL OFFICERS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the labor agreement between the City of Mounds View and LELS Local <br />204 expired at the end of 2009; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, negotiations between the City and LELS reached an impasse in 2010, <br />resulting in mediation; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because mediation did not result in a settlement, LELS exercised its right <br />to binding arbitration, which occurred on August 13, 2010; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the arbitrator’s decision was released on September 29, 2010, with the <br />following rulings: <br /> <br />Contract Duration: One year, from Jan 1, 2010 through Dec 31, 2010 <br />Wages: No Increase <br />Insurance: $867.33 per month <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in addition to the above, an issue that had been certified for arbitration <br />relating to comp time balance was agreed upon by the parties prior to the arbitration: <br /> <br />Comp Time: Increase max balance from 52 hours to 60 hours <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View does hereby ratify the labor agreement for and with Local 204 of Law Enforcement <br />Labor Services, Inc., retroactively effective for one year from January 1, 2010 through <br />December 31, 2010. <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th day of October, 2010. <br /> <br /> __________________________ <br />Joe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> __________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
