<br />Item No: 08E <br />Meeting Date: December 13, 2010 <br />Type of Business: Consent <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Jim Ericson, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Public Hearing: Resolution 7715, a Resolution <br />Approving Revisions to the 2011 Fee Schedule <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On November 22, 2010, the City Council reviewed and approved the proposed 2011 City of <br />Mounds View Fee Schedule. Subsequent to this approval, additional information was <br />received relating to fees at the Community Center which warrants Council consideration. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The City Council approved Resolution 7700 on November 22, 2010 approving the <br />proposed changes to City’s fee schedule. In speaking with the banquet center coordinator <br />and in the course of preparing the approved document for publication, it became apparent <br />that further clarification would be needed. <br /> <br />The fee schedule that was reviewed by the Council on Nov 22 included the following fees <br />relating to the banquet center: <br /> <br />Overhead Projectors: $10/day <br />TV & VCR: $15/day <br />Microphone $40/day <br />Screen: $35/day <br />LCD Projector & Screen $20/hour <br /> $75/day <br /> $100/day <br /> $25/hour <br />Lobby $130/day <br />Bar $20 <br />Lattice $50 <br />Cooler $50/day <br />Coffee Pot and Carafes $10 <br />Table Linens $3 each <br />Napkins $0.15 each <br />Playland $25/hour, $100/day <br /> <br />Clearly, the fees associated with the projector and screen make no sense, yet, that is <br />how they were approved in 2009. The proposed revisions are shown on the following <br />page.
