Mounds View City Council November 8, 2010 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br />City Administrator Ericson stated the City was receiving complaints about the delivery of 1 <br />Mounds View Matters and other local newspapers. Staff was looking into this issue further and 2 <br />would bring information back to the Council at a future meeting. 3 <br /> 4 <br />City Administrator Ericson indicated historically the Council cancels the second meeting in 5 <br />December, which is scheduled for December 27th. He requested the Council consider this issue 6 <br />further and provide staff with feedback. The Council was in favor of cancelling this meeting. 7 <br /> 8 <br />City Administrator Ericson noted he spoke with Steve Dazenski, Public works Foreman, with the 9 <br />Lion’s earlier today, who received new Lions’ Club signs. He noted the Lioness’s Club within 10 <br />the City has disbanded and their placard would be removed from the County Road 10 boulevard. 11 <br />He questioned if the Council wanted the other Lion’s signs to remain. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Gunn was in favor of the local organization signs to remain near the City 14 <br />monument signs. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Mueller agreed stating this provided great community information to those 17 <br />looking at the City. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Mayor Flaherty was in favor of the Lion’s signs remaining near the monument signs as well. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Gunn provided the Council with an update on her Beyond the Yellow Ribbon 22 <br />meeting. She indicated a great deal of resources are rallying behind this initiative which was 23 <br />extremely exciting to be a part of. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked Council Member Gunn for pursuing this initiative as it would greatly 26 <br />benefit the veterans in Mounds View and their families. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Public Works Director DeBar noted the Public Works Facility would be taking used oil through 29 <br />the end of the year. 30 <br /> 31 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. 32 <br /> 33 <br />City Attorney Riggs had no report. 34 <br /> 35 <br />12.
